The New Times has curated a list of the most talked-about songs currently resonating with audiences in Kigali and beyond. Folomiana - Chris Eazy Chris Eazy returns with “Folimiana”, a high-energy track featuring The Ben and Kevin Kade. The song blends Afrobeat, zouk and R&B influences, showcasing the trio’s musical chemistry and setting the tone for summer parties. The New Times has learnt the Chriss Easy and Kevin Kade were about to drop the song but The Ben came in later to add more vibes to the track. Produced by Element Eleeeh, Folomiana is among the most trending songs of the week with close to 100, 000 streams within two days. Code - Kid From Kigali Rwandan rapper Kid From Kigali recently delivered “Code,” a fresh, introspective track with crisp production and a melodic flow that reinforces his place as one of Kigali’s rising talents. Produced in a trap beat by Ehl3rs, “Code” premiered on Friday, May 9 and is available on all major streaming platforms. Amaherezo - Yee Fanta Upcoming producer and artiste Yee Fanta is not resting and has yet again dropped another freestyle track “Amaherezo”, which brings emotional depth with heartfelt lyrics and a powerful vocal delivery. The song explores trends that are dominating Rwanda’s showbiz industry with a heavy Afrofusion beat that was produced by Fanta himself. Halo - Phil Peter ft. Alyn Sano DJ Phil Peter teams up with Alyn Sano on “Halo,” a smooth, soulful duet that mixes pop, traditional Rwandan sounds with Amapiano. The track has quickly become a fan favorite on local radio stations. Fine - Kevin Kade ft. Double Jay Kevin Kade recently teamed up with Burundian music star Double Jay to collaborate on “Fine,” a catchy, feel-good tune that celebrates love and self-expression with infectious beats and a singalong chorus. Vazi - Chiboo Up and coming artiste Chiboo is also enjoying the success of his recently released song, Vazi, which is increasingly dominating local charts within only hours since it dropped on streaming platforms. ‘Vazi’ was produced by Prince Kiiiz and directed by Sammy Switch.
