The artist further explained that these unspecified breaches significantly impacted his expectations and progress as a recording artist. Despite the circumstances leading to his departure, Ross Kana expressed gratitude for the support he received during his time with 1:55 AM. The singer indicated that he is now “seeking new opportunities that align better with his professional goals and needs as an artist.” The 26-year-old departs the management company days after music executive Gael Karomba, also known as Coach Gael, revealed his intentions of withdrawing his investments from the music industry. Real name David Rubangura, Ross Kana has been in the music business long before his talent was publicly recognised. He had been writing songs for other artistes and singing on the worship team of his former church until he decided to switch to secular music and concentrate on his own production. His debut release, ‘Fou de Toi,’ brought him to the spotlight and he has since never looked back. He went on to drop more hot tracks like ‘Sesa’ and ‘Mami’ and among others. He hasn’t dropped a song since December when he dropped ‘Mami.’ Ross Kana has a lot of projects in pipeline but, according to sources, he was growing frustrated by the fact that his management had cut the budget that he used to spend on his videos, prompting him to consider leaving the house. The exodus is just getting started Ross Kana is one of the artistes signed to 1:55AM. Others include Bruce Melodie, Kenny Sol and producer Element. He may be the first artiste to make his exit from 1:55AM but The New Times understands that Kenny Sol has also left the music house. Element is also linked to a split with the management but he is yet to make the decision official.
