Gorilla FC midfielder Hesbon Rutonesha will be heading to Kazakhstan for three-week professional trials with powerhouse Astana FC in the coming week as a deal in the June transfer window beckons. Rutonesha's contract with Gorilla FC expires on June 30 and he could join Astana this summer if he passes trials. Astana FC, who have been vibrant in European club competitions over the past years, finished 2nd in the league during the 2023/24 season and they are bent on wrestling the title from Kairat this season. The 2025/26 Kazakhstan Premier League is in its second week and Astana are second on the table, having won once and drawn once.
