TECNO has unveiled its latest innovation, the CAMON 40 Series, in Rwanda, designed to empower users to effortlessly capture life’s best moments. With cutting-edge AI-powered features, the series ensures stunning photos in any scenario, along with seamless editing on the go. Dubbed its most advanced AI smartphone ever, the new flagship imaging series merges TECNO’s practical AI technology with advanced imaging capabilities. It delivers innovative FlashSnap photography, more efficient user interactions, and greater creative possibilities. The launch event, held at the Rwanda Broadcasting Agency HQ on Thursday, March 27, was attended by TECNO officials, telecom partner MTN, influencers, and brand ambassadors. The CAMON 40 Series embodies TECNO’s vision for practical AI, bringing a new level of intelligence to our devices, from flagship imaging to improved daily interactions, unlocking exciting new possibilities for users.” When asked about standout AI features, Mucyo highlighted: “There are many, but the CAMON 40 Series revolutionises the industry with pioneering Call Noise Cancellation and the world’s first AI-powered 360° Call Assistant. It also supports AI Image Generator, AI Writing, and AI Translate, covering 136 languages in text and 44 in voice. The CAMON 40 series not only excels in AI-driven features but also impresses with its rugged design. With IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, the CAMON 40 Pro is built to withstand extreme conditions, including exposure to hot water. The CAMON 40, with its IP66 certification, offers reliable water-splash resistance for everyday protection. With a long-lasting battery and generous storage, the CAMON 40 series ensures the fun never stops. Featuring up to 256GB 12GB storage and 5-year battery durability, the CAMON 40 stands out with its powerful 5100mAh battery and 70W Ultra Charge support. In an interview with the press, Edwin Vita, Device Coordinator at MTN Rwanda, shared: “TECNO has been a great partner, and for this CAMON 40 series launch, we’ve got exciting gifts for our clients. When you purchase the device, you'll receive 15GB of internet valid for 3 months, 300 minutes, and 300 SMS to all telecoms. It enabled users to upgrade from feature phones to smartphones and connected those who were previously offline. More people also transitioned to the 4G network from 2G and 3G, which means better service delivery and faster internet speeds.” The CAMON 40 series sets a new standard in creative and professional imaging, offering advanced AI features tailored to global users' needs. It introduces TECNO’s updated Universal Tone technology, allowing users to capture portraits with more true-to-life and inclusive representations of diverse skin tones. The series also brings the innovative AI Image Extender, which enables users to expand photos and restore intricate details in complex scenes. Additionally, the upgraded AI Eraser 2.0, AIGC Portrait 2.0, AI Perfect Face, and AI Sharpness Plus provide enhanced editing tools to further boost creativity and image clarity. To showcase the full range of features, TECNO Rwanda will embark on a nationwide tour, partnering with influencers to promote the new devices across the country. The series includes the CAMON 40 Premier 5G, CAMON 40 Pro 5G, CAMON 40 Pro, and CAMON 40. However, the CAMON 40 Pro and CAMON 40 are the first to debut in the Rwandan market.
