Living in Kigali, I noticed that most performances and digital platforms are centered in the capital, and people outside Kigali often miss out on these opportunities, Mirasano told The New Times. Determined to ensure that his music reaches everyone, Kenny Mirasano added that the tour is designed take his album to places where live performances are scarce but highly needed. He believes that people in the rural areas should not only hear music on the radio but also experience it live while connecting with the artistes and their messages firsthand. My mission is to bridge the gap. It felt a bit selfish to have everything focused in Kigali while the people in rural areas also deserve access to our music. I want to take my songs directly to them, says Mirasano. Despite limited resources, the artiste is enthusiastic about expanding the tour in the future where he intends to perform in even more villages and rural streets as he continues to spread his art. This album is for everyone, he adds. It’s my gift to the people, and I believe it will create a positive change in our communities. The tour kicks off on March 25, and will reach various locations around the country, including public markets, cultural centers, and youth hubs. Mirasano began singing when he was 15, inspired by the fact that there wasn’t part a rugby team at the high school he was attending which he wished to do. Doing music was his way of replacing his desire to play rugby. The artiste has performed on both local and international stages including JAMAFEST 2019 in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, Les Ateliers de la Pensée in Dakar, Senegal, with Little Kesho team in Sevran, France, as well as Visa for Music 2022 in Rabat, Morocco among others. Alongside Boukuru, he also performed for guests and delegates who attended the glamorous end-of-season prize giving gala of the FIA Awards 2024 held at BK Arena in December 2024.
