The Ministry of Education, through the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), has announced the launch of the PISA 2025 awareness campaign, which runs from March 17 to April 6 and from April 15 to 26. The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a global evaluation conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to assess the ability of 15-year-old students to apply their knowledge and skills in reading, mathematics, and science to real-life situations. “This nationwide initiative aims to increase public understanding of the upcoming international assessment, scheduled to take place from May 27 to June 7, 2025,” NESA said in a statement on Saturday. With participation from over 80 countries, PISA is one of the most comprehensive international assessments of student performance. The campaign will ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed about PISA 2025 and its significance in benchmarking Rwanda's education system against international standards, NES said.
