Mukura Victory Sports continued where they stopped on Sunday, March 9, as they beat Gorilla FC 2-0 at Huye Stadium on Monday. Zuberi Hakizimana had given Mukura the lead in the 41st minute before the match was postponed in the 60th minute due to a heavy downpour. The pitch was at the time flooded, making it difficult for the ball to move. The match resumed on Monday as the pair played the remaining 30 minutes at the same venue. Mukura piled pressure on Gorilla FC in the early minutes as they looked to extend the lead. Their pressing paid off as Boateng Mensah scored a superb goal in the 64th minute to make it 2-0. Mukura, with their usual back three, saw their wing backs Obed Uwumukiza and Zuberi Hakizimana overlapping into the Gorilla half. Mukura dominated possession of the ball as they drew Gorilla FC out of their shells. Chances were few after the second goal as Mukura held on to a 2-0 win. The win have now moved the Black and Yellow side to 5th place on the Rwanda Premier League table with 30 points from 20 games.
