APR (women) secured their second consecutive Memorial Kayumba tournament trophies, while Gisagara VC swept East African University (EAUR) in tightly contested final matches that concluded at Groupe Scolaire Officiel De Butare (GSOB) on Sunday, March 9. Fresh from their CAVB Zone V Club Championship victory in Uganda, the APR women traveled directly to Huye to participate in the 15th edition of the tournament, which is organized annually to honour the late Father Emmanuel Kayumba who was a passionate advocate for volleyball. Kepler regrouped to win the third set 25-20, but APR rallied in the fourth 25-13 to force the game into the tiebreak which they won 15-10 to claim their second trophy in less than a week, following their Zone V championship victory in Kampala.
