However, their lead lasted just four minutes as Police FC responded through Pacifique Ngabonziza in the 20th minute to make it 1-1. Muhazi United controlled the game perfectly with their skipper Joseph Sackey putting the brakes on Abedi Bigirimana. The Ghanaian showed signs of brilliance in defensive midfield as he broke up play and started most of Muhazi United attacks. Striker Elijah Ani got a decent chance to put his side ahead before the break but a timely tackle from Marcel Dikoume deprived him the goal-scoring opportunity. The second half saw Muhazi United stringing a couple of decent passes together but their finishing hardly proved efficient as they could not trouble goalkeeper Onesme Rukundo. Both teams made incursions into the vital area of each other’s halves in the final minutes of the game as they sought for the winner but their defenders were resolute as the game ended 1-1. Elsewhere, Musanze FC were held to a 0-0 draw by Bugesera FC at Umuganda Stadium while Etincelles beat Gasogi 1-0 at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu. Vision FC defeated Amagaju FC 1-0 at Kigali Pele Stadium putting them back into the race for relegation safety.
