President Faustin-Archange Touadéra of Central African Republic on Tuesday, March 4, met with a delegation from Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) led by Army Chief of Staff Maj Gen Vincent Nyakarundi alongside Defence Spokesperson Brig Gen Ronald Rwivanga and RDF Director of Training Lt Col L Kabutura. Together with CAR’s Chief of Defence Forces of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) Gen Zéphirin Mamadou, the delegation briefed President Touadéra on the progress of Rwanda-CAR bilateral defence cooperation including current and future training plans within the framework of security sector reform agenda. ALSO READ: Over 600 Rwanda-trained CAR soldiers graduate The delegation will attend the passing-out ceremony of the 3rd cohort of FACA forces that were trained by RDF bilateral forces in Bangui. They will also visit the Bilateral and Rwanda peacekeeping forces deployed in the country.
