Rwandan music diva Bwiza on Monday, March 3, departed Kigali for Brussels, Belgium, where she will launch her second album, 25 Shades, on March 8. The event will coincide with International Women’s Day. The KIKAC Music-signed artiste was accompanied by her mother and sister to the Kigali International Airport where she took her flight to Belgium. She will share the stage with fellow Rwandan musician The Ben, with whom they dropped a collaboration ‘Best Friend’ which went on dominate the airwaves since its release in November 2024. ALSO READ: Bwiza to launch second album in Brussels In addition to the launch, Bwiza will on Thursday gift copies of her album to fellow musician Tonzi, businessman Sadate Munyakazi, and music investor Coach Gael as a gesture of appreciation for their contribution to her career. “These are people who shaped my career and the Rwandan music scene, so they will receive my album copies before I get to launch it,” she said. Bwiza shared that 25 Shades reflects her age and the different facets of her life and music journey. “Ever since I was young, I used to dream and set big goals. With the support of my parents, good leadership, and more, I have been able to achieve them, I will be celebrating what I have accomplished from childhood to today,” she said. Bwiza first rose to prominence after winning The Next Diva music contest in 2021, a platform by KIKAC Music aimed at discovering and nurturing young female artists. Since then, she has grown into one of Rwanda’s leading musicians under the management of Jean Claude Uhujimfura. Her album launch in Brussels is expected to feature performances from fellow Rwandan artists, with details to be announced soon. Only The Ben was officially confirmed to perform at her concert.
