Police VC defeated Kepler in four thrilling sets on Friday, February 21, at Petit Stade Indoor Gymnasium, marking the start of Phase 11 of the national volleyball league. The 3-1 victory (29-27, 25-21, 20-25, 28-26) demonstrated Police VC's readiness for the CAVB Zone V Club Championship, where they will be looking to defend the trophy they won in 2023. In a tense matchup, Police VC started strong, overcoming Kepler's resilient defense. Despite both teams battling for the first set, Kepler faltered in the final moments, with a set-winning block by Police setter Emmy Twagirayezu, ending the set 29-27. Police VC continued their momentum in the second set, winning 25-21. For the third set, Kepler's coach Fidele Nyirimana made strategic substitutions which resulted in a 25-20 set win for Kepler. Police VC regained control in the fourth set, winning a close contest 28-26, securing the match victory. The win boosted their confidence heading into the regional tournament hosted in Uganda from February 26 to March 4. In women's action, APR VC swept Wisdom 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-19). Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) struggled against Police VC, losing 3-0 (15-25, 17-25, 18-25). The victory saw Police VC maintain their lead in the regular season standings with 36 points.
