Rwandan singer Ariel Wayz is set to release her debut album, ‘Hear to Stay,’ on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day. The 12-track album marks a significant milestone in her music career, reflecting on her four-year journey in the industry. The album, according to the singer, explores themes of love, resilience, and the challenges faced by both men and women in the music industry. Each track highlights her unique storytelling, emotionally charged lyrics, and distinctive voice, captivating listeners, according to the press release issued on February 29. I want my fans to listen and truly understand why music is my forever passion, she said. Explaining the significance of the album title, the 22-year-old said she wanted to acknowledge the bond between artistes and their fans. “I wanted to kill two birds with one stone. The phrase ‘Hear to Stay’ has two meanings: first, that music lovers should listen and stay connected and second, that the love from fans is what keeps us in music.” Ariel Wayz, born Ariel Uwayezu, is known for various songs including 'Away' with Juno Kizigenza, 'You Should Know', 'You Only', 'Good Luck', 'Katira' with Butera Knowless. Her latest song 'Made for You' was made as a gift for lovers. Since her music debut after graduating from Nyundo Music School in 2016, Ariel Wayz released two EPs including Love & Lust which was released on December 10, 2021, and TTS (Touch The Sky) which was released in September 2022.
