Tanzanian fashion entrepreneur and socialite Hamisa Mobetto on Sunday, February 16, tied the knot with 28-year-old professional footballer Stephane Aziz Ki, a midfielder for Tanzania Premier League club Young Africans. The couple’s Nikah ceremony took place at Nnuur Mosque in Mbweni, Dar es Salaam, officiated by the Grand Sheikh of Dar es Salaam, Sheikh Walid Alhad Omar, alongside other esteemed Islamic clerics. The celebrations, however, are far from over. A grand reception is set for February 19 at Superdome Masaki, a 2,500-capacity venue, promising a night of glamour, exclusivity, and an A-list guest list featuring prominent figures from the entertainment, sports, and business worlds. In line with cultural traditions, Aziz Ki fulfilled the dowry ceremony, known as Mahari Day, on February 15. He presented 30 cows and Sh30 million (approximately Rwf16.3 million) as bride price—an expression of respect for Hamisa’s family. Instead of being accompanied by his relatives, he was joined by his Young Africans teammates for the occasion. Then he decided to inform me. But I was on a duty mission in Dakar and I left yesterday,” she said. The couple’s relationship has been a hot topic, especially after their luxurious vacation in Dubai fueled speculation about their romance. Hamisa’s mother, Shufaa Rutiginga, shared in an interview with Clouds FM that she had prayed for her daughter to find the right partner, and Aziz Ki turned out to be the answer. She described him as a humble and well-mannered young man who deeply cares for the family. Hamisa Mobetto, 30, is a successful businesswoman and influencer. She has two children—a daughter with EFM Director Francis Majizo and a son, Dylan Nasseb, with Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz. Aziz Ki, born in Ivory Coast and of Burkinabé descent, has played for Burkina Faso’s national team since making his debut in 2017. He has one daughter.
