Midfielder Aruna Moussa Madjaliwa has dragged Rayon Sports to the local football governing body (FERWAFA) over salary arrears. The Burundi international is seeking FERWAFA’s interventions as an immediate step to get his wages that the Blues owes him before taking them FIFA in case the club fails to clear his arrears. Rayon Sports are said not to have paid Madjaliwa for the past 8 months being inactive. The player is on 1 Million RWF salary a month which means Rayon have to pay him Rwf8 million. The club has been in experiencing a financial crisis over the past years. In September 2023, they were brought before FIFA by Tanzanian goalkeeper Ramadhani Kabwili for unpaid salaries and they subsequently got banned from registering new players until the shot stopper was paid. Madjaliwa, 24, joined Rayon Sports from Burundian outfit Bumamuru FC on July 12, 2023 and rose to becoming a key player in their midfield before his injury problems.
