Rwanda Energy Group (REG) struggled to find their footing against a dominant APR side in their Round 10 clash of the National Volleyball League, held Friday, February 14th, at Petit Stade indoor gymnasium. APR had a strong start to the game, taking the first set 27-25 at the time REG were struggling to find their rhythm. Despite efforts to regroup, REG's second set was marred by miscommunication, leading to a tense battle that extended to a 30-30 tie. APR hitter, Sam Niyonshima, then seized the opportunity, scoring the set point to secure a 32-30 win. Riding their momentum, APR aggressively claimed the third set 25-23, sealing a decisive victory. Following the match, REG captain Sylvestre Ndayisaba reflected on his team's performance, attributing the loss to a series of small errors. We did what we could on the court, I can't say that the referee officiated our game badly. We're going to prepare for our next game against Gisagara Volleyball Club, Ndayisaba told Times Sport. Elsewhere, Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) fought hard, but ultimately fell to RP Ngoma 3-2 (16-25, 25-23, 17-25, 25-13, 11-15) in a five-set match which went the distance.
