Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Mubarakh Muganga, has emphasized the importance of strengthening the military capacity to effectively respond to emerging threats. Muganga said this on Thursday, February 13, as he presided over the passout ceremony of the middle-level commanders and staff seminar at the RDF Gacurabwenge Training Centre in Kamonyi District, marking the successful completion of training for senior and junior officers. “RDF must build its capacity to consistently and effectively address any threat. The focus is on maintaining a well-trained defence force under capable leadership and enhancing civil-military relations,” he said. Since its inauguration in November 2020, the RDF Gacurabwenge Training Centre has played a crucial role in conducting middle-level commanders and staff seminars, equipping officers with essential military skills.
