18 teams from six nations have confirmed their participation in the CAVB Zone V Club Championship, a regional tournament that is annually graced by clubs from East African countries. The tournament returns after a one-year hiatus and will take place at Lugogo Indoor Stadium in Kampala, from February 26 to March 4. Defending champions Rwandan Police VC (men) and Kenya Pipeline (women) will face stiff competition as they aim to retain their titles. The tournament boasts strong teams, with Uganda leading the charge in the women's category with five representatives: KCB Nkumba, VVC, KCCA, Ndejje Elites, and Sport-S. They will be joined by Kenya Pipeline, South Sudan's Cobra, Rwanda Police, and Tanzania Prisons, bringing the women's total to nine.
