Kepler VC came back from 2-1 sets down to beat APR 3-2 sets (25-22, 24-26, 22-25, 25-14, 15-10) in a tiebreak and bag a crucial win in the national volleyball league. The round 9 game took place at Petit Stade Indoor Gymnasium on Friday, February 9. An Ivan Mahoro-inspired Kepler side claimed the opening 25-22 but APR reacted quickly to win the second set 26-24 and the third 25-22 to lead the game 2-1. Kepler VC came into the fourth set determined and took it 25-14 to force the game into the tiebreak which they eventually won 15-10 to take home the hard-fought win. ALSO READ: Police VC confirmed for Zone V club championship In an earlier men's fixture, Police VC overpowered RP Ngoma VC 3-0 (25-19,25-17,25-21) while Gisagara VC beat Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) 3-1 (25-19,25-20,23-25,25-19). In women’s league, APR secured a 3-1 victory over Kepler 3-1 (25-11, 23-25, 25-21, and 25-17) The league action continues this Saturday, February 8, where EAUR VC take on REG 5 pm, Gisagara VC play against Police VC. Both matches will take place at the Petit Stade in Remera.
