Friday, February 7 Patriots 86-78 Tigers REG 86-63 UGB Star point guard Elliott Cole scored game high 26 points to inspire Patriots to an 86-78 win over Tigers in Friday’s basketball league game held at Lycée de Kigali gymnasium. The American was enjoying a bright start in his first game since joining Patriots on February 5 as the club returned to winning ways on Friday. Patriots won the first quarter 24-20 but Tigers quickly recovered to take the second quarter 21-19 and reduced the gap to just one point as Patriots maintained their lead with 43-42 at the break. Back in the second half, Patriots were looking re-energised as they to avoid yet another upset. They went on to win the third quarter 23-20 and the least quarter 20-17 to seal the win.
