Thursday, February 6 APR 105-80 Kepler Malian center Aliou Diarra scored 27 points and added 8 rebounds and 2 assists as APR ran away with a dominant 105-80 win over inspired Kepler in Thursday’s Rwanda Basketball League clash. The 23-year-old was in electric form with a top performance that took fans inside Petit Stade by storm. Center Osborn Shema and Ntore Habimana added 18 and 12 points respectively as the army side dominated an injury-hit Kepler side which played the game with key players in new signing Olivier Turatsinze and Chad Bowie who are both sidelined through injuries. APR started the game in flying form, winning two opening quarters 26-17 and 37-22 to go into halftime leading 63-39. Returning for the second half, Kepler bounced back to win the third quarter 24-23 but James Maye Jr’s men claimed the final quarter 19-17 to comfortably register their fourth win in a row, hence maintaining their top spot at the league table with 8 points.
