President Paul Kagame, on Saturday, February 1, held talks with his Senegalese counterpart Bassirou Diomaye Faye, where they discussed bilateral relations as well as security in the region and beyond. “Had a fruitful conversation with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and exchanged on the importance of continental collaboration towards a sustainable solution to the security situation in the region and beyond,” the president said in an X post. “Rwanda looks forward to continued bilateral cooperation with Senegal for the shared prosperity of our people,” he added. Rwanda and Senegal have several agreements across various sectors, including broadcasting, where Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) has partnered with Radio Television Senegalese (RTS). The two leaders previously met in May last year during the Basketball Africa League (BAL) in Dakar, where they attended a game between Senegal’s AS Douanes and Rwanda’s APR Basketball Club.
