Friday, January 31 UGB 73-69 Patriots APR 103-67 AZOMCO United Generation Basketball (UGB) registered their very first win of the Rwanda Basketball League 2025 season after beating Patriots 73-69 in a thrilling match held at Lycée de Kigali Gymnasium on Friday night, January 31. UGB were coming back to winning ways after struggling on the opening day with a narrow 67-71 loss to Kepler last week. The American had torn his Achilles tendon in May 2024 when APR were participating in the Sahara Conference group phase games of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) in Dakar, Senegal. The league continues on Saturday, February 1, when Orion take on Kepler while REG go up against Espoir. Both games are taking place at LDK Gymnasium.
