Team Rwanda's experienced rider Moise Mugisha is looking to put up a good performance at Tour du Rwanda 2025 that is set to take place from February 23 to March 2. Mugisha is currently in training with his Team Rwanda teammates, including Vainqueur Masengesho, Mike Uwiduhaye, Eric Nkundabera, Didier Munyaneza, Jean Claude Nzafashwanayo, Sheldrake Ufitimana, and Jean Claude Manizabayo. We have prepared well and I feel strong,” the 28-year-old told Times Sport. The team is training at the Africa Rising Cycling Training Centre in Musanze, and Mugisha is one of the top Rwandan riders who will compete in this year’s edition. Mugisha, who won the 2020 Grand Prix Chantal Biya and the 2022 Tour du Cameroun, made history in the 2022 Tour du Rwanda by winning stage eight—becoming the first Rwandan cyclist to claim a stage win since the race achieved UCI 2.1 status in 2019. Since November, Team Rwanda riders have been in a two-month training camp preparing for Tour du Rwanda. No Rwandan rider has won a stage in the race’s last three editions. The 2025 Tour du Rwanda will cover a total of 812 kilometres, with the longest stage being from Rukomo, Gicumbi to Kayonza, spanning 158 kilometres.
