Renowned artiste and songwriter Juno Kizigenza has pledged Rwf1 million to the Sherrie Silver Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged children, particularly those with creative talents. During his visit to the foundation’s studio in Nyamirambo, Juno shared a special moment with the children as they sang along to his songs, including his latest hit, “Shenge,” and the 2023 track “Igitangaza,” featuring Kenny Sol and Bruce Melodie. I pledge to donate Rwf1 million,” he said. His donation follows a $2,000 (approximately Rwf 2.7 million) contribution from Nigerian artiste Ruger, made during the 2024 holiday season. Philanthropist Kate Bashabe also recently visited the center ahead of the new school term, offering school supplies and other essentials to some of the children. Children from the foundation have been featured in multiple viral music videos alongside the artists who created them. Sherrie Silver explains that these experiences not only boost their confidence but also show them that a fulfilling life and career can be built through creativity. The Sherrie Silver Foundation, founded by MTV VMA winner and Rwandan-born British choreographer Sherrie Silver, continues to empower young talents.
