President Paul Kagame and his visiting Togolese counterpart Faure Gnassingbé held a closed-door meeting on Sunday, January 19, at Village Urugwiro. The two leaders also joined members of their delegations for bilateral discussion. According to the Office of the President, the bilateral discussions focused on various sectors of cooperation, including agriculture, trade and investment, green financing, and energy. “I always want to remind people that once we have visited each other, we have discussed, we have reached agreements, what remains is just to get to business and do what we have to do,” President Kagame was quoted as saying during the discussions. Gnassingbé arrived in Rwanda on Saturday for a two-day official visit. The Togolese president was last in Rwanda in August, when he attended President Kagame’s inauguration ceremony.
