The head coach of the Kenyan national football team, Francis Kimanzi, is confident but cautious as they prepare for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) which will take place in August this year. The Harambee Stars were placed in a tough group (Group A) alongside Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, and Zambia. ALSO READ: CHAN Qualifiers: Rwanda lose to South Sudan in Juba Kimanzi noted that he recognises the toughness of the group but believes the challenging competition will inspire the team. “I’m really looking forward to a competitive fight and we have to show character,” he noted, as he argued that if a team wants to be great, it has to face big teams. Nyayo Stadium and the newly upgraded Kasarani Stadium will host key matches. Other groups include Uganda in Group C, while Senegal, Congo, Sudan, and Nigeria compete in Group D. Neighboring Tanzania and Uganda will also host some matches.
