Friday, January 17 Men APR Vs REG 8:30 pm Women REG Vs APR 6:30 pm Local basketball power-houses APR and Rwanda Energy Group (REG) will face off in the Rwanda Super Cup on January 17 at BK Arena. Introduced by the 2023 General Assembly, the Super Cup serves as the curtain-raiser for the new season of Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). It pits the league champions against the winners of the Rwanda Cup in a one-game battle. REG is expected to be without Dieudonne Ndizeye and Steven Hagumintwari, the two forwards, whose transfer from Patriots is turning out to be characterised by a number of twists and turns. In the women's category, REG, who won the 2024 league trophy, will lock horns with Rwanda Cup winners APR.
