Last week started off with cross-border shelling of rockets by the Congolese army, FARDC, which landed in Rwandan territory on Monday, May 23. Rebel group M23 had said in a statement that FARDC was working with that fighters belonging to the FDLR, a terrorist outfit whose members are accused of genocide crimes in Rwanda, something that was confirmed by the Rwandan military in a statement calling for the release of two of its soldiers kidnapped while on patrol. Meanwhile, President Kagame arrived in the Swiss town of Davos where he joined over 50 Heads of State for the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meetings.
