Bank of Kigali on Saturday, February 27th awarded two clients with a motorbike each after they emerged winners in the ongoing campaign dubbed “Mu Munyenga na Mastercard”. The promotion drive is organised with aim to promote cashless payments in the country and the two winners were handed their prizes in a programme that was aired live on Rwanda Television. In addition to that, other customers are given weekly prizes of laptops, shopping vouchers and cash back. Tharcissie Byukusenge in charge of service cards at Bank of Kigali has invited more clients to keep using their BK Mastercard and and stand a chance to win a Mahindra KUV 100 NXT as the grand prize of the promotion which will end on March 5th 2021. Byukusenge said that the promotion campaign looks at BK’s clients who use their BK Mastercard debitor credit cards online or via Point of Sale (POS). She said that all BK clients who make a single transaction worth Rwf25, 000 and above using their cards to shop online or pay through a POS are eligible to win different prizes. “We are in the final stages of the campaign and more clients with MasterCards should participate to win the grand prize of the car,” she said. She called upon those who have no MasterCards to request them, saying that acquiring one has been made easy. “A client can request and get the card in just one day from the nearest BK branch across the country,” she said. John Baptist Nkuranga, one of the awarded clients, welcomed the award. “I use MasterCard in my daily transactions. It was a surprise when a BK staff called me to tell me I had won a motorcycle. I thank Bank of Kigali for rewarding its customers with such valuable gifts he said. Huguette Uwimana, another winner added: I got to know about the campaign when I went to deposit money at a BK branch. I kept using my card and next thing I knew, I was selected as a winner in the Mu Munyenga na Mastercard promotion. Since then, I committed to use Mastercard more than usual. I call upon other clients to participate. BK delivers better service and its clients should leverage on that. I am happy to be one of the winners
