Federal agents are currently searching homes of hip-hop star Sean “Diddy” Combs in Los Angeles and Miami, different reports indicate. This comes after the music mogul was hit with a federal lawsuit last year from a former girlfriend who accused him of sex trafficking. Responding to reports of raids at homes belonging to Combs, the Department of Homeland Security Investigations New York confirmed that it had executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation. ALSO READ: Crime rap after party by fan at P Diddy mansion “Law enforcement could be seen Monday at two of Combs’ homes – one in the Miami area and one in Los Angeles,” CNN journalists confirm. A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said the inquiry was directed by agents in New York, where the lawsuit was filed. Homeland Security Investigations have broad jurisdiction to look into the illegal movement of people, goods and more across US borders and within it, including sex trafficking. Last November, R&B vocalist Cassandra Ventura sued Combs in federal court in Manhattan, accusing him of subjecting her to serial physical abuse, sexual slavery and rape. She alleged Combs regularly beat her over the course of a 10-year professional and romantic relationship, controlled her through intimidation and gave her drugs and alcohol. Combs, through his lawyer, totally denied all the allegations. The 54-year-old rapper has three Grammys, and was ranked among the greatest rappers alive on Billboard’s list released last year as part of celebrating 50 years of hip hop.
