Prosecution seeks 10-year sentence for former Governor Gasana

The prosecution this week requested the Nyagatare Intermediate court to hand the former Governor of Eastern Province, Emmanuel Gasana a 10 year jail sentence and a fine of Rwf 144 million  over allegations that include; soliciting and accepting illegal benefits in exchange for favors and abuse of office. The court will render a verdict on April 11.
