Francis iraguha, the CEO of Francis Zahabu Limited, an upscale fashion house in Rwanda, is also an actor and businessman. His friends describe him as a person with many ideas, creative and fashion savvy. He discussed his style tips with Society Magazine’s Stephen Kalimba. What motivates your style? Francis iraguha When it comes to style, I’m like a chameleon. I dress according to the purpose I have at hand. If it’s a casual event, I’ll wear casual clothes, if it’s a red carpet event, I’ll put on something that is ideal for a red carpet event. However I put my image into consideration. I want people to always say that “he is smart”. Who do you look up to in the fashion industry? I was inspired by Zara Fashion, a Spanish clothing retailer. Hankies or paper tissues? I like wipes because they are disposable, besides I don’t like it when my pockets bulge. What’s your favourite scent? I like HiM by Hanae Mori and Gentleman by Givenchy. Usually, these two are enough. Have you ever been misunderstood because of something you wore? Not really, from day one I have always been fashion conscious. I always mind where I’m going. If I’m going to church, I always put on something appropriate for church. How do you advise school going teenagers to dress? Copy the style of a person you look up to, with time, the look you want will show on you. Always check yourself in a mirror for the best results.
