BBA nominees break silence on selection verdict

The fate of Big Brother Africa reality show that was slated to begin this weekend hangs in balance after fire gutted the BBA house on Tuesday in South Africa. Prior to the incident, Big Brother Africa had issued a statement indicating that Rwanda and Sierra Leone would not be participating in this year’s edition due to “logistical constraints.” The news sparked off a social media outrage among local BBA fans and the nominees who were anxiously waiting for the final verdict about Rwanda’s representatives. Arnold Agaba spoke to the nominees about their views on the issue. Arthur Nkusi IT WAS a big blow to me but there’s nothing I can do and I have since moved on. But that’s not to say that it didn’t leave me with a big financial burden since I had spent huge sums of money shopping for clothes and buying other things when I could have put it to some other use. I had made it to the last four and even travelled to South Africa for the final auditions and was just waiting for a response. I worked hard and Frank Joe greatly inspired me. However, this setback will not stop me from auditioning again next year if BBA comes to Rwanda. But right now, I’m focusing on my music career and my upcoming concert. Frank Joe HONESTLY, I have no clue about what is going on. I received the news like everyone else but up now I haven’t been contacted for further explanations. Aisha Uwimbabazi aka Ciney I WAS shocked to hear that Rwanda had been dropped from BBA. I was among the people who went to South Africa for the final auditions and was waiting for a response when an email came in from the organisers indicating that Rwanda would not participate in this year’s edition. However, if the logistical constraints are resolved, I would give it a try next year if it returns.
