She is set to travel to France on Sunday. According to our sources, every girl who wins Miss Rwanda gets a chance to visit any country of her choice and Akiwacu chose to go to France and then proceed to Spain. Simba Supermarket as one of the main sponsors of Miss Rwanda contest will cover the ticket, accommodation and upkeep expenses. She is scheduled to be back in the country on September 6. Kanyombya survives lynching after motor cycle accident As far as our celebrities go, accidents seem to be the in-thing. Barely a month after rapper Riderman was involved in an accident, local film star Kayitankore Ndjori, popularly known as Kanyombya, has also followed suit. He was thrown into the coolers at Muhima Police Post after he knocked a woman and proceeded to hurl insults at her while threatening to beat her. According to our sources, Kanyombya was riding a motor cycle in Biryogo, Nyamirambo when he knocked the lady. Our sources continue to tell us that the motorcycle had no number plate, no insurance and all the necessary documents. As if that is not enough he was intoxicated and had no permit. When Kanyombya attempted to beat the woman, people in Biryogo came to the woman’s rescue and started to attack him but luckily for him, police was already at the scene and saved him. Tom Close and wife welcome first child Tom Close and wife Tricia are over the moon after they welcomed their first child, Ella, early this week. Tricia gave birth to a bouncing baby girl and Tom Close, who is a doctor at Police Hospital Kacyiru, was among the team of doctors that helped deliver the baby.
