The 23-year-old is chasing a double of triumphs, having won Week I tournament after beating Crawford in Sunday’s final. Meanwhile, tournament top seed Crawford booked a ticket to the quarterfinals after seeing off Ghana’s Abraham Asaba in two straight sets 6-4, 6-1. In other fixtures, week I semifinalist Corentin Denolly advanced to the last eight after eliminating Egypt’s Michael Bassem Sobhy in two sets 6-3 6-0. He was joined in the next round by Ukraine’s Eric Vanshelboim and Ursu Vadym after they beat India’s Banthia Siddhant and Hans Kabir respectively. Indian Dev Prajwal, who eliminated Rwandan Claude Ishimwe from the first round on Wednesday, advanced to quarter finals after beating 6-0 6-0 South African Montsi Siphothand while his countryman Eqbal Ishaque beat Italian Baldovinetti Guelfo 6-1 6-2 to secure the remaining spot. The overall winner of the tournament gets 25 points on top of a cash prize of $3,600.
