Last season’s Peace Cup semi-finalists got their goals through Zuberi Ntirenganya, who netted a hat-trick as well as Sylevestre Rucyaha and Rashidi Kalisa. The win took Bugesera to second position in Pool B with 32 points, three behind leaders SEC Academy, who beat Huye-based NUR 2-0 on Saturday. Interforce are third with 29 points, Unity with 26, are in fourth, while Etoile de l’Est stand fifth with 25 points. “Our major aim is qualifying for next season’s topflight division and I believe we are on track to achieve that target,” Bugesera head coach Noah Nsaziyinka told Times Sport on Monday. In Pool A, despite drawing 0-0 with Gasabo, Sunrise FC still lead with 38 points, Sorwathe who beat Akagera 5-0, are second with 35, Rwamagana who drew 0-0 with Isonga are third with 33, while Isonga stand fourth with 31 points. The group stages matches are set to wind-up on Sunday when Bugesera face-off archrivals Interforce in Kicukiro.
