Local government Minister, James Musoni, on Tuesday addressed the Lesotho Cabinet on Rwanda’s decentralisation process and system during his visit to the country. Musoni’s visit to the southern Africa nation follows Lesotho’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Government, Metsing Mathejoa’s visit to Rwanda on a decentralisation study tour. “The Rwanda delegation has made a presentation on Rwanda’s decentralisation process,” said Vincent Karega, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to South Africa who accompanied the minister. Rwanda has for the last 13 years implemented a decentralisation process which has inspired Lesotho. Karega said the two countries wish to establish long lasting cooperation.
