The three points are very crucial and now we must try to continue winning. The players did a fantastic job and I must congratulate them for their performance,” Gomes told Times Sport after the game.He noted that it is still too early in the season to start talking of defending the title but, still maintained  its their target. "We need to take it game by game and see how the season goes,” Gomes explained.Rayon tops the table thanks to a superior number of goals scored, six as compared to five and three goals for second-placed Musanze and Espoir in third place.Police on the other hand will go into tomorrow’s clash with five points gap behind the champions. A defeat would live Sam Ssimbwa and his team a mammoth mountain to climb in the title race.Meanwhile, Ferwafa have clarified that Rayon Sports’ second goal against Amagaju was scored by Abouba Sibomana in the 23rd minute and not Samson Jakesh to whom it had earlier been credited. The Nyanza-based side opened the scoring through skipper Faudi Ndayisenga after 13 minutes on a penalty spot and new signing Jakesh opened his account with a brace in the 53rd and 88th minutes respectively.Musanze and Espoir both continued their impressive form with wins over Muhanga and Kiyovu SC respectively to leave the losers in the bottom half of the table and the coaches under increased pressure.
