Yesterday, coach Edu started the contestants off with a morning warm up and the dance class. It was a combination of the two routines that the contestants have been learning since Monday. Now that people were more comfortable with one another they were having a lot more fun. Edu was now getting serious, paying particular attention to details like posture and hand position. It got very intense and the contestants really had to put in effort. Daisy was looking particularly tired though and seemed sluggish in the choreography. Perhaps the dance class was too much. After the dance session, Daisy and Phionah spoke to the camera in a private session. Daisy came out to say she was loving her time in the Academy. When asked about Fess, she laughed and said that her relationship with Fess is ‘complicated’. Phionah had a crazy session… and she mentioned that she is the only single girl in the house now. We should be looking out for that. She also mentioned that she really enjoyed the sessions with Principal Eric. The next session was led by Coach Kavutha with vocal one-on-one sessions to help contestants improve their tone. Today, she worked with Kojjo first and continued in alphabetical order. Later on, Nyambura came in and worked on her rendition of ‘Something Inside So Strong’. Mishel spoke to the camera in a one-on-one and shared that she was closest to Nyambura. She also spoke about leadership in the house, with Daisy being set up as the House Captain for now. The system is meant to be rotational but we will see how it goes and who will be captain next week. The contestants rehearsed their songs with Principal Eric, Band Leader Aaron and Voice Coach Kavutha. Coach Edu sat on the side lines giving tips on movement. Daisy performed her rendition of "I Can’t Make You Love Me” and Eric advised her to think try to "feel” the meaning of the song. She seemed to take in the pointer judging from her second performance which received rave reviews. Hisia was given the same advice when he did his version of "Something Inside So Strong”.  Coach Kavutha tied his hands behind his back and made him sing with no fidgeting. His performance in the end was remarkable.Throughout the session, Daisy and Fess were very comfortable with one another. In his private session, Patrick told the cameras that he was happy in the Academy and enjoying his experience. There was a special A –List International star in the Academy- a real treat for the contestants. Grammy nominated artiste and award winner Anthony Hamilton popped into the Academy and his arrival created quite a lot of excitement among the contestants. Angel was so taken by Hamilton that she asked for a hug. Once he had settled, the star was gracious enough to share his life story and music industry experience with the Academy. The crooner spoke of his time singing as a back up singer and singing in church. He even admitted to being booed sometime but he was happy to say that he bounced back. Contestants got to know more about the singer’s background when he shared a few interesting facts.
