The song was dedicated to his home area, Remera, a sector in Gasabo district. The song was loved not only by Remera residents but folks countrywide; it even inspired other artistes to sing about their home areas, like guys from Kicukiro coined a song about Kicukiro centre.Remera is a song praising the beauty of the area and its neighbourhoods, the hotels and restaurants in the recreation centres and the generosity of its residents. The afrobeat track ruled the radio stations for a very long time and probably it would still be played if the artiste didn’t lay down the microphone since then.
