She revealed the 11 things that you didn’t know about her in an interview with Sarah Kwihangana.Do you believe in love, and are you in a relationship?Yes, I am seeing someone. I’m such a romantic lady, who believes in love and relationships. I think we all deserve that special someone in our lives, who makes you want to be a better person. A person, who makes you smile after a stressful day and, who knows you enough to know what to say or do to bring you back on track. What was your first experience on camera?Wow! I can never forget my first time in front of the camera. I was so nervous we had to do so many takes before I got it right, after that it all became super easy. What is your dream house and car?My dream house is a two-storey house or nice apartment in a noise free neighourhood and, a Range Rover sport is my dream car.Who would you die to host on your TV show?I would be the happiest if I ever hosted President Paul Kagame. He is my hero and I admire him so much. What is the craziest thing you have ever done on air? This was the most embarrassing moment I admit. One time I accidentally switched off the microphone, while interviewing a Ugandan artiste who had come to perform in Rwanda, and we lost the whole footage, after that we started using Wireless microphones. How do you spend your free time?I spend a lot of my free time with friends. We hang out a lot and also I love being with my siblings. I watch a lot of movies and I enjoy reading novels. Normal things really! What are some of the challenges you face in your line of work?I would say that the biggest challenge for me and the whole team I work with is getting the right footage for the show, because people in Rwanda are so camera shy, so they always run away. What are some of the things you feel proud to have achieved?I have done a little bit of traveling here and there. I am so proud of myself for doing what I am doing at this young age, and I know there is so much more coming my way. The sky is the limit.Future plansMy future plans definitely involve a lot of traveling, to push my career forward and I want to take my education to another level at the same time.Who is Umulisa?Umulisa is the first born in the family of five. I went to APACE primary school and later moved to Washington County High School, in the U.S.A. I hold a diploma in sociology from Vienna College. I come from a very loving family. I’m really close to my dad and my mum is like my big sister. I have one young sister (that I love to death) and three hilarious young brothers. We are a very close family.Any childhood memories that you miss?My childhood was an exciting one and I miss it sometimes. I would always spend a week or so of my holidays at my granny’s house and she would always tell us tales.....then we would go out with our parents mostly on weekends. What was your child hood dream?Growing up, I wanted to work in public relations. I wanted to do anything that kept me in direct contact with the society.I started my career as a radio presenter on City Radio in 2011, hosting "The ChillOut Zone” with Pacson. Then Buddies productions, a broadcasting company that partners with RTV, started and wanted a host for their "Showtime” programme.  I was called for an interview and got the job. Showtime programme features stories from entertainment events in the country, and exclusive interviews with artistes and celebrities.
