The Bible is full of promises God has made for his children. Many of the promises are yours now and many are waiting for you in Heaven.

Eternal life—John 3:36 (Satan tried to make Samantha doubt that she would live forever but she remembered this promise and believed it because God does not lie).

Forgiveness—1 John 1:9 (When Jared told a lie to his mom he felt like God wouldn’t love him anymore. Then he remembered to ask God to forgive him).

Never Alone—Hebrews 13:5b (Sometimes, Tasha feels lonely especially when the kids in her class do not ask her to join in their games. Then she remembers that God is always with her).

Prayer—John 14:13-14 (Tony talks to God a lot about her parents because they seem unhappy. He is glad he can talk to God about anything).

Wisdom—James 1:5 (Shekina saw Chantal cheating on her math test. Shekina asked God to help her know what to do about it).

Victory over sin— 1 Corinthians 10:13 (David wanted so much to say something about the kid who pushed him out of line but he talked to God about it and went to another line instead).

Power to serve God— Philippians 4:13 (Rachael’s Sunday school teacher asked for someone to clean up after class. Rachael wanted to leave with her friend but she asked God to help her stay).

If you are God’s child all these gifts are yours. They are your inheritance because you are a child of the King of kings!

The inheritance from God won’t end when your life on earth ends. You will have life forever with God in His beautiful home called Heaven. You will have a new body that will never die. God has promised you rewards for serving Him here on earth.

You can become a child of the King of kings if you believe in his son Jesus today. If you are already his child, how will you serve your King this week? Adopted from Teach Kids Magazine.
