FA boss wants more involvement of districts in football development

Rwanda’s football federation boss, Celestin Ntagungira has promised to work closely with the districts’ authorities in a bid to development the sport in the country.

Rwanda’s football federation boss, Celestin Ntagungira has promised to work closely with the districts’ authorities in a bid to development the sport in the country.Ferwafa plans to start organising youth tournaments as one way of developing football in Rwanda but according to Ntagungira, for that to be sustainable and more productive, the districts have to play a big role."We plan to organise as many youth tournaments as possible and throughout the country, however, the district must be actively involved. We want to start with mini-tournaments for the U-15s, U-17s and U-20s,” the local football governing body boss said recently.The former international assistant referee wants to make football at the grassroots level to be a key driver to the development of the sport in Rwanda where young footballers get the chance to compete regularly at Sectors and Districts level.He said Ferwafa is willing and ready to work hand in hand with the districts in organising mini-tournaments to develop football in the country.
