Seven countries will compete in the 2013 Sitball Volleyball World Championship for men slated for October 11-12 at the National Paralympics Committee Indoor Stadium in Kigali.Countries that have confirmed participation include Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Germany (two teams), Kenya, Switzerland, Uganda, and hosts Rwanda, according to NPC officials.Tanzania had earlier expressed interest but are yet to confirm, they added.Defending champions Rwanda, who will be looking to make the most of home advantage to retain the world title, started early preparations under the close watch of coach Elie Manirarora. The team will go into residential training on September 23.Manirarora said, "Our objective is to represent our country in the best possible way, and I think we have a very good chance to successfully defend our title because we started preparations early.”The team in training: Jean Semana, Dominique Bizimana, Jean Rukundo, Callixte Twagirayezu, Désiré Serugo, Jean Baptiste Murema, Jean Népomscene Nshimyumuremyi, Jean Bosco Ngizwenimana, Fulgence Hagenimana, Jean Baptiste Gahamanyi, Emile Vuningabo and Bernard Ahishakiye.
