ETINCELLES FC’s new head coach Abdu Bizimana aka Baken believes the Rubavu-based side will fight hard to avoid the demise of last season by staying in the top flight division.

The Western Province team were relegated last season along with Isonga FC but made a quick return to the national league without kicking a ball in the second division following the withdrawal from the league by La Jeunesse.

Bizimana, who signed for Etincelles from Amagaju Football Club, wants to make sure that his club is not relegate again.

"I have just come in and, together with my technical staff and the management; we are trying to see what team was missing last season, because we need to be consistent in league. We don’t want to go down in second division,” said Bizimana.

He admitted, "We need to sign new players, and not just numbers but quality (players), who willing to give their all for the team.  The management is in talks with a number of targets and hopefully we shall be able to a couple of deals over the line the coming days.”

Three seasons ago, Etincelles were representing Rwanda in the Orange CAF Confederation Cup after finishing second in the league albeit profiting from the decision by Atraco, who had finished second, to withdraw from the league.
