Two national women league matches that had been set for Wednesday were called off due to the opposing team’s poor organization.

Remera and Asoga Fc did not surface (without prior notice) on the ground on match day for their fixtures against APR and AS Kigali respectively.

Second from bottom side Asoga, who have so far failed to show up in three league fixtures this season, are likely to miss next year’s campaign as its part of the leagues regulations.

"Any team that misses three games in a league season  does not feature in the in the next season’s campaign,” says Clarisse Uwambaza, the in-charge of the women football in Ferwafa.

Remera, who had earlier shown no interests in this game, claimed that six of their players were injuries but Ferwafa are not buying any of such excuses.

"We can’t accept such (lame) excuses. We don’t think six players can stop a team with 30 players from honoring a league game,” Uwambaza noted.

In the only game played on Thursday, defending champions Kayonza recovered from last weekend 1-1 draw against Inyemera to beat La Charite 1-0 Kayonza.

With three rounds of matches remaining, APR lead the table with 43 points, 14 ahead of Musanze in second while Inyemera are third with 27.

La Charite (17), Asoga (4) and Pepinier (1) occupy the bottom three sports respectively.
