Blind dates: why they could be worth the risk!

Over the weekend, I sat in my room wondering about the last time I was in a serious relationship. Honestly, it’s been a while.

So lately, I’ve been doing blind dates. I became friends with some guy I met on social media and after a while of heavy flirting we agreed to meet.

Ten minutes into the date, he told me how he sees me as his wife and I could have his "loaded dad” organise the wedding in record time. I gasped in utter shock and bolted for the door in my African sandals, which made it so much easier to run!

After that experience, I thought I was done with the whole blind date thing but the requests kept coming so I figured I would give it another shot.  So, my next endeavor was a date with Mr. Celebrity...oh sweet Jesus...I thought I loved myself but damn this dude; the whole evening was spent talking about how he is related to all the elite around town. Again, extremely bored, I run, only this time, I was wearing pumps! Imagine the discomfort.

It is often said that the third time’s a charm, right? Another brave attempt turned out surprisingly pleasant. He was suave and sweet; he opened the doors for me and was simply on top of his game! I fell in love instantly. Okay I know you think I’m crazy but do not.

This dude made me feel like I had known him all my life; I was as happy as a fat kid eating cake! What is your take on blind dates? It’s okay to be scared the first time but do not let one or two bad experiences spoil your chances of finding something really good like I did. In the end, it will be so worth the trouble.
