Rwanda national team coach Paul Bitok has said the country will get better results in future international competitions including the world championships.

The U21 volleyball junior national team finished in 20th position in the 2013 FIVB World Championships for Boys and Bitok believes the experience gained from competing with the best teams in the world will put Rwanda in a good position.

"I promise that in the future, we will get better results. This team has learned a lot from the tournament. We learned that we should fight until the end no matter who we play against” said the former Kenya national team center player.

He added, "The players’ mindset towards the game and competitions has changed a lot and I think we are now a better team than when we went for the World Championships, but we will continue to prepare more young players for future competitions.”

The national team returned to the country on Monday night from Turkey where Russia won the World Championships on Sunday after beating Brazil 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, and 25-20).
