DAR-ES-SALAAM – Several changes are expected to take place at eight-times national league champions, APR Fc, Times Sport has reliably learnt.

According to an impeccable source close to the club set up but could allow to be quoted as he is not allowed to comment on the club’s matters, changes mainly on the playing staff are set to be carried out in preparation for the new season.

APR Fc, who have set their target of competing in next season’s Caf Confederations Cup, are set to poach on local clubs for their well established international stars.

After winning the 2008 MTN Peace Cup winners, the military side automatically qualified for the Confederations Cup regardless of their position in the national league.

Saddou set for La Liga trial
Featuring prominently on the club exit list is the occasional captain and Amavubi Stars defender Sadou Boubakary.

The Cameroonian-born defender, who made his national team debut against Mauritania in the on going 2010 World Cup and African Nations Cup qualifiers, is set to have trials with undisclosed Spanish first division club.

The move, which expected any minute, is being blamed the player’s current lack of concentration in the ongoing Cecafa/Kagame Cup being played here in Dar-se-Salaam.

It is believed that the Saddou was expected to have left for the peninsular earlier this month as his trip was postponed to till the on going tournament ends.

However, ffforts to contact his Cameroonian agent were futile by press time. His current contract with the military side expires next month.

When asked for their opinion on Sadou’s current state, several APR senior players, said that it’s better to let him go now than having yet his mind is somewhere else.

Kodo, Mambo, Serugendo on APR’s radar
According to the source several local clubs are set to lose their top and well established star players thanks to APR’s financial muscle.

The trio was recommended to the club’s top management by new coach Rene Feller. It includes; Ismail Nshutinamagara (Kodo), a polished international.

He has made a huge impact since joining Atraco from Kiyovu. He’s Atraco’s current skipper. Aimable Rucogoza (Mambo), a rock at the heart of Rayon’s defence and a recent feature of the national team, also captain of the U-20 national side.

Arafat Serugendo has appeared in most of Mukura’s league matches this season, proving an able servant for Southern Province giant killers. Won his first international cap under Michael Nees.

The unthinkable may be on the Horizon
Swallowing our pride and take responsibilities for past blunders is not some thing that anyone can easily do but APR are about to do that provided Atraco gives in to money.

According to coach Rene Feller Patrick Mutesa Mafisago is a top quality player, who should be at APR.

Feller suggested to the APR’s top management that ‘Mr. Reliable’ should be brought back to the club after a season at Atraco.
